A simple season map
November–February is the classic cool-dry window for much of the country. March–May is hot, with Songkran in April. Mid-year rain hits regions differently: Andaman is typically wetter May–October; the Gulf has its own pattern. The north can be smoky in late dry season.
Choose by trip type
Beaches want the right monsoon. Culture cities are year-round if you accept heat. Festivals can override weather — people still come for Songkran. If you have flexible dates, shoulder months often mean better rooms.
